Technological upgrading of heating systems and installation of cogeneration in hospitals
As part of the tender for the energy requalification of the hospitals located in Valtellina and Valchiavenna, Cogenera carried out projects for numerous energy efficiency interventions at the Sondrio, Chiavenna and Sondalo hospitals.
In particular, the methanisation of the Sondrio and Chiavenna thermal power stations, the cogeneration of Sondrio (600 kW methane engine), Chiavenna (100 kW methane micro-turbine) and Sondalo (1 MW vegetable oil diesel cycle engine) were designed. At the same time, the conversion of all the heating circuits for Sondrio and Sondalo into hot water was planned. Finally, particular attention has been given to renewable sources with the exploitation of solar energy (photovoltaic and solar thermal) and geothermal energy (heat pumps combined with radiant panels in the Sondalo pavilions).
All the new plants are equipped with a supervision and remote control system.
