The “SAVE” facility service company of the “Marco Polo” airport of Venice, planned a remarkable extension of the airport structure.
So it decided to centralize the production of main energy vectors in a single power station with the production of thermal and cooling power, a cogeneration plant and a fire-safety station.
The new station is characterized by a highly technological content focused on the maximum energy efficiency. It is formed by a 4 MW trigeneration plant, a cooling plant of 25 MW with absorption chillers and centrifugal chillers and a 20 MW thermal plant.
The interconnections between the power station and the airport buildings were realized with a dedicated tunnel.
