In the municipal plan of primary school upgrading, the municipality of Brescia (through A2A) decided to build a new technological plant to provide the energy needs of three schools in the town fraction of Buffalora.
To sum up, the intervention saw the realization of a new cogeneration power station with two heating condensing boilers and a 65 kW micro gas-turbine. The heat produced is sent to the four buildings (a kindergarten, a primary school, a secondary school and a gym) through a small heating network.
Furthermore, on the rooftop of the power station solar panels were installed to produce domestic hot water and electrical energy.
